New Play Brunch offers a delightful mix of brunch, mimosas, and a staged play reading from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The featured play is Hyde & Jekyll (Top Billing at Last) by Kellie Stonebrook, a comedic take on The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In this adaptation, almost all the characters—including Mr. Hyde—are portrayed as idiots, making for a hilarious reimagining of the classic story. Stonebrook, a Michigan native with a background in theater and ventriloquism, adds a fresh comedic spin to this iconic tale.
