California Mermaid Convention

Welcome pirates, mermaids, sirens, and landlubbers alike to the West Coast's largest mermaid convention!

Set your sails and ready your tails! This year's California Mermaid Convention takes place May 16-18, 2025.

Most events take place at Cordova Community Pool. The convention weekend typically features underwater mixers, adult and children's programming, exciting vendors, photo shoot opportunities, interesting presentations, and a Bubble Ball for mermaid enthusiasts of all ages. It’s always a flipping good time!

What to Expect at this Event

The California Mermaid Convention is family-friendly. All ages are welcome to attend. However, parents please note that some costuming or performances (especially at the Bubble Ball) may tilt toward alluring or frightening.

Promenade of Mermaids 🐬 An annual parade of mers in historic Old Town Sacramento.

Launch Party🍹 Performances hosted at Sacramento Dive Bar's 40 foot saltwater tank.

Main Convention & Mermaid Swims 🧜‍♀️ Children's Pool and Adult Swim Pool, MERch vendors, and workshops.

Photography 📸 Roaming event photographers, group photo opportunities, and individual photo shoots.

Children's Programming 🐚 Family-friendly mermaid performers, games, and treasure hunts.

The Bubble Ball 🫧 An underwater extravaganza with dancing, drinks, and photo opportunities.
